
Rents Down $80/Month on Average in July 2025
Average asking rent in Canada was $2,121 in July. That’s $80 less per month than in July last year. This marks the tenth month in a row that rents have dropped. The 3.6% yearly drop in July is bigger than the 2.7% drop in June, suggesting rents may keep falling — with Calgary and Vancouver seeing faster drops than other major cities. One bedroom apartments also saw a larger-than-average drop in July.
